SeaFirst Introduces Trade Guard

A new and convenient way for Contractors to Get Liability Insurance

Victoria, BC – Trade Guard – Today SeaFirst Insurance Brokers announced the launch of Trade Guard, an online insurance source which enables experienced contractors and tradespeople to obtain liability insurance in an easy and convenient way right from their smartphone, tablet or computer. The insurance package includes general Third Party Liability coverage, with options to purchase additional coverage for tools, equipment, building materials, and/or office contents. This is the first self-serve product for small contractors available in Canada.

Trade Guard is an online insurance solution for small contractors who work primarily on residential properties in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Customers are able to obtain a quote, purchase coverage, and view their policy directly from the website: www.tradeguard.ca. Once the customer has purchased coverage, they can access their policy information at any time to make real-time changes, upgrade their coverage, and request proof of insurance. Having the ability to instantaneously show proof of insurance on a job site is very beneficial for most contractors. The renewal process is just as easy; customers are e-mailed instructions on how to renew their policy online, or they can simply let their coverage lapse if they no longer need it.
